How to Use Deep Clean

PhoneClean turns your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch into a risk-free handheld device which you'll never worry about your sensitive data leaks. Step 1: Choose Deep Clean to Get Started

Hover your mouse on the Deep Clean button and click it, you'll see what types of personaly information PhoneClean will help you remove > if you don't want to let PhoneClean clean some particular types of private data, then you can click on the blue switch button to turn it off (the button will turn gray). Once you did so, PhoneClean will skip scanning the files in that category.

Step 2: Backup

Considering the significance of your personal data, PhoneClean creates full backups for your devices prior to any cleaning action. So even you mistakenly deleted some important info, you can still get them back by performing a recovery from the backups. The regular backup time is about 1-8 minutes, but it also depends on the usage of your device.

Step 3: Scan

Once the backup is finished, PhoneClean will automatically start scanning your device. During this period of time, you can choose Stop or Skip the category that you want PhoneClean to leave behind.

Step 4: Pre-check

After finishing the scanning, PhoneClean will show you all the potential risky private data. Click on one category to check if there are any useful info that you still want to keep.

Moving one step closer by clicking the arrow on the right side, take Call History as an example, you'll find PhoneClean is your only choice to remove particular call log from a specific time period.

Step 5: Start Clean

After making sure all scanning results are safe to remove, click Clean and PhoneClean will start to clean up your device. The cleaning time largely depends on the size and items of junk file.

Step 6: Cleaning Up

As the Deep Clean feature in PhoneClean is system level iOS cleaning procedure, so everytime you do a deep clean, the program will restart your device. At this moment, your device will be in Restore in Progress (please rest reassured that all your apps, app data, device settings and other content will be kept intact, and only the items you pre-checked will be removed) status so please DON'T unplug it until PhoneClean finished the cleaning.

Step 7: Check Cleaning Result
