Basics
Please launch PhoneClean on your computer after installing it successfully. Then, please connect your device to computer with an USB cable. If you do not connect your iDevice to computer or your iDevice isn’t recognized, this button(1) will display.
The window stays on Quick Clean by default when you launch PhoneClean at the first time.
Once the device is been detected, the main interface will display. Please simply click different buttons to choose the function you need.
If PhoneClean fails to recognize your iDevice, you may try to solve this issue by following troubleshooting steps:
① Please download the latest version of PhoneClean which matches with your Windows operating version.
② Check whether your USB cable is loose. If it is, please reconnect it. If USB cable is broken, please give new one a try.
③ Reinstall iTunes.
④ Please login your computer as Administrator account.
⑤ If problem persists, please contact our for further diagnosis.
Settings
To make good use of PhoneClean, please learn how to set up PhoneClean prior to your use. Please run PhoneClean on your computer and then connect your device(s) via USB cables(s) to computer firstly. Then, click on the button (2) to go to Settings page.
Click on the Usage button, PhoneClean will analyze your device and show which types of data are occupying the disk space, these data included: Audio, Book, Photo, Video, App, Others. Only if you have such files on your device, will they display on Usage.
*Others：Others contains settings, calendar events, notes, browser cache, email, email attachments as well as corrupted files. To learn more info about Others, please refer to this passage.
To make Default Settings before cleaning process, please choose items you want to clean (whenever Silent Clean, Quick Clean, Internet Clean, Privacy Clean or System Clean). Taking Privacy Clean for an example, you can choose all file types that you want to clean by checking the box in front of it.
Alternatively, you can choose some file types that you want to clean by checking the box in front of it as your need.
And you even can uncheck all boxes in front of files types if you do not want to clean any files.
Backup Management
Considering the importance of your data, PhoneClean creates full backups automatically prior to Internet Clean, Privacy Clean and System Clean. Even though you delete data by accident, you may retrieve it from backups. Please click Backup Options button to choose your backup location and quantity. And you may select to save your backup in any location you want on your computer.
You may save up to 10 backups for each device. If the quantities of your backups were more than your have set, the previous backup would be deleted automatically before creating a new one.
Switch Devices
PhoneClean supports multi-device connection and you can switch devices to clean as you need. Please run PhoneClean on your computer and connect at least two iDevices to computer with USB cables. And then click the device button (3).
After clicking button (3), you may view your devices info. Please simply choose the device you want to clean. Meanwhile, the selected device will be highlighted in blue.
