Privacy Clean
Privacy Clean cleans private information associated with Call History, Contact, Note, Message and Voicemail on your iDevices. Please refer to the following guide to make good use of Privacy Clean.

Step 1: Preparations.
- Run PhoneClean on your computer
- Connect your iDevice(s) via USB cables(s) to computer
Click the button (1) to choose Privacy Clean. If you do not connect your iDevice to computer or your iDevice isn’t recognized, the button (2) will display.
Once your iDevice is recognized, the Privacy Clean main window will display. PhoneClean supports multi-devices connection. You can check iDevice which is ready to be cleaned on (3). And you can click button (4) to switch iDevice to clean as you need.

Step 2: Analysis.
- Click Scan button
- Backup your iDevices
- Wait for scanning process
Given the importance of your data, Privacy Clean will backup your data automatically before cleaning junk files. Even though you delete data by accident, you may find them back from backups. The backup interface will display after clicking Scan button. You can abort the process at any time by clicking the button (5). Meanwhile, the backup time varies based on the size of data.
- 1. Apple will not let the third party to detect encrypted backup for protecting user’s privacy, so please uncheck encrypted backup firstly.
- 2. To manage your backup, please refer to Backup Management.
After finishing backup process, the interface of analyzing iDevice will display. You can abort the process at any time by clicking the button (6). And the analyzing time varies based on the size of junk files. Please keep patient.
When the scanning begins, please keep your device connected until the process completes.
Step 3: Cleanup.
- Review the junk list before cleaning
- Start Clean
When the scan completes, the total amount of junk files will be displayed. To keep files you may need, you may click Review Details (6) to view all scanned files before cleaning.
You can choose all file types that you want to clean by checking the box in front of it. To go back to the previous page, please click Back button.
Alternatively, you can choose some file types that you want to clean by checking the box in front of it as your need.
And you even can uncheck all boxes in front of files types if you do not want to clean any files.
Click on Clean button to free up your device's space after finish checking details. The time to clean depends on the size of the junk. To ensure a smooth cleaning process, please keep your device connected until it finishes.
To use Privacy Clean feature, you need to turn off Find My iPhone / iPad / iPod touch option on your device.
To refresh data in your iDevices, your iDevices will restart automatically after finishing uploading data. Please keep patient.
Once cleaning process completes, you will see the Complete screen. You can click Start Over (8) to return to the main window.
