Can I Transfer Movie from iPad to iPod nano 7G

I just bought an iPod nano 7G and I want to transfer my movie from iPad to iPod nano 7G. I quit iTunes because everytime I use it for managing both devices, it gives big headaches. Do I need special software to do this? If so, would love a recommendation.
