Part 1. How to Export All Contacts from Mac OS X Contacts App
Step 1. Open up "Contacts" on OS X.
Step 2. Click on "All Contacts", and then hit "Command+A" or Select All.
Step 3. Click on "File" menu of Contacts app, choose the "Export" menu, and then choose one between the "Export vCard" and "Contacts Archive".
"Export vCard" will generate a VCF (vCard) file that is universal standard and would be compatible with many platforms, such as, other Mac OS X app, iOS, Windows, Android, Blackberry, etc.
"Contacts Archive" will generate an .abbu file, which is a proprietary format for Contacts app and the Address Book app from older version of OS X.

Part 2. How to Export a Single Contact from Mac OS X

Step 2: Right click the chosen contacts > Choose Export vCard… > Set up output folder for the exported contacts.
