What is iTunes File Sharing

Since the iTunes 9 was released, iTunes allows you to copy and share files between computer and iPhone, iPad, iPod touch. Some PDF reader, comic book, or video player apps prefer the File Sharing option since it may help you move the files easily.

For instance, Pages for iPad supports iTunes File Sharing. You can create a document in Pages, then copy it to your Mac computer for viewing on Pages for Mac.

How to Tell if an App Supports iTunes File Sharing

Actually you won't know if an app supports the iTunes File Sharing until connecting your iPhone or iPad to the computer (with iTunes open). To find it out, Open iTunes > Connect device to the computer > Click the iPhone table on the left top side of iTunes:

Click on App tab > Check if that App is listed on File Sharing section:

If yes, then you can copy files from computer to that iPad or iPhone apps, or vice versa.
