On your iPhone or iPad:

Step 1. Go to Settings > Tap on Messages.

Step 2. Tap on Send & Receive.

Step 3. Select the email address you have registered with the Apple ID.

Note: You need to sign in with Apple ID to ensure email address is shown next to your Apple ID. Make sure that your phone number is selected in the START NEW CONVERSATIONS FROM section.

On your Mac:

Step 1. Open Messages app > Go to Preferences.

Step 2. Click on Accounts button > Click Enable this account.

Step 3. Select the email address you have registered with the Apple ID.

Note: If you cannot see your email address, you can click “+” button to add your Apple ID. Also make sure your phone number is selected in Start new conversations from section.
