  • Make sure your iDevice is running on iOS 8.3 or later versions (you can go to Settings > General > Software Update to check it out). If you have not upgraded to iOS 8.3, you can upgrade it first.
  • Tap on Messages.
  • Locate the option for "Filter Unknown Senders" and toggle it to the ON position.
  • In the Messages app on iPhone you can find the two Messages inboxes: "Contacts & SMS" and "Unknown Senders".
